Guest guest
Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with low testosterone after suffering from fatigue, depression, and low libido for some time. The thing is, I'm only 20 years old. The doctor said it was analogous to menopause in women, to which I responded I'd never heard of a 20 year old woman with menopausal symptoms. He said it's possible. Is it? I'm worried there's in fact something wrong with my pituitary gland or I have cancer-- that this is a secondary symptom of something else given my age. Has anyone here been diagnosed at such a young age, or found out that their low testosterone was symptomatic of something else? Also, will I be permanently unable to conceive with replacement therapy? I know these are questions I should ask my doctor (I did), but despite being at a top ten teaching hospital he seems pretty naive. Perhaps a second opinion is in line.
