Guest guest
A lot of doctors follow the old protocol of using a large and long needle to do IM shots. This way it gets deep into the muscle. This is great for large muscles like your butt but not great for the thighs. Most of us use a 25 or even a 27 guage needle with good results. You also have to take into consideration how fat you are. If you have a lot of fat cells, you have to be able to penetrate that and get into the muscle. Â For me the shots are a piece of cake - yes you will be anxious at first but then in time they become easy. Really no pain except on initial entry in and it goes away quickly - small price to pay - Arkansas From: chrisdl2008 <chrisdl2008@...> Subject: how sore are injections? - Nebido in particular Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 3:42 PM Â Just wondering since most people need to go on injections at some point due to absorption issues so how sore are injections. I have a bit of a phobia for needles so the thought freaks me out especially given that a large needle is needed for Nebido given the oily solution. Is Nebido really that more painful than injections with test cypionate or ethanate for example (if anyone here has tried both)? Nebido seems to be the best injectable on the market in terms of efficacy but if its a large needle is a must that would put a serious dampner on things. Guest guest
Arkansas thanks for your reply ..I have minimal layer of fat - infact I have always been pretty thin and no doubt low bone mass due to low T and therefore e2. " large and long needle " ...even reading this freaks me out. I would be really interested to hear from others who are on Nebido with regards to pain during injection on scale 1-10 (with 10 being really painful) and if the effects i.e. androgen effects have been good or bad The thought of going to doctors every 1-2 weeks for injections would be absolute nightmare (yeah I know most docs will trust patients to do themselves but some don't)and Nebido sounds much more practical from that sense but extra large needle, slower injection and fact point actually poin out that its painful must means its pretty damn awful. I would imagine it to be getting stabbed by right deep into leg and muscle therefore excrutiating pain...maybe but cheeks would be bit less painful of course but still the thought. I think in the UK Nebido is becoming the drug of choice for TRT due to cost and low visits needed to doc's and less so efficacy as I believe NHS far more interested in cost than patient wishes. I recently read (well known UK opera singer) is also taking Nebido due to pituitary op so if good enough for the well off maybe not all bad > > > From: chrisdl2008 <chrisdl2008@...> > Subject: how sore are injections? - Nebido in particular > > Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 3:42 PM > > > Â > > > > > Just wondering since most people need to go on injections at some point due to absorption issues so how sore are injections. > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I also shoot into my butt cheek but that was an acquired talent. It is less painful. I have to do it in front of a mirror. I inject with my right hand (I'm right handed) then change hands to hold the syringe. I slide the base of the needle between 2 of my fingers to hold the syringe and then push the plunger with my right hand. If I was doing large shots that is what I would do. Still have not mastered the left butt cheek yet!! Guest guest
so you just whack the needle in first like stabbing yourself in but cheek/leg and thats the sore bit I'm guessing .. the injection itself doesn't feel like a burning or anything must leaves scar tissue though - particularly with big needles required for Nebido also I would have thought doing injection oneself in the but cheek would be easy if just needing to stab yourself with the needle as once its in position must be easy enough to inject (guess its not as simple as that though eh ) > > > > > > From: chrisdl2008 <chrisdl2008@ ...> > > Subject: how sore are injections? - Nebido in particular > > > > Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 3:42 PM > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > Just wondering since most people need to go on injections at some point due to absorption issues so how sore are injections. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
