Should I wear a patch when I get tested?

I was tested about six months ago (43 years old with remarkably low TST - 78

total and 43 free). Originally I prescribed high levels of HCG (3,000 units a

week) but a ballooned up it did nothing for me as far as energy and I think made

it worse.

I changed docs and this one put me on patches (5mg of TST) and no HCG but I have

been adding just a tiny bit of HCG to keep from shutting things down. My

question is he wants to have all my blood tested after a mont on the patches

including both thyroid and TST and after that will send me to an endo. So

should I put a patch on the morning that I get my blood drawn? Will that just

show the exact levels of the patch (supposed to add steady state 450 to the

blood)? So by wearing the patch is it testing me or the patch? I guess I could

call the doc but he admitted when he saw my lab results that my case was over

his head and he was just giving the patches because I clearly needed them until

I could see an endo. So I am guessing this board knows better. Am I better off

going for the blood draw with or without the patch on?

As always...thanks!
