Guest guest
I started to post this as a response in another thread but decided it's time to start my own. I was diagnosed with Secondary Hypogonadism in 1996. I was 27. My T score was 164 in a range of 241-827. I was extremely lethargic, depressed & had no motivation. Since that time I have averaged a T score of 327 using scrotal cremes, patches, injections, gels & pellets. Always independently, I've never used any in combination. I suppose I had resolved it was impossible to bring my T up any higher. I never pressed the issue with my Dr. Not sure why. 6 months ago it dawned on me that there is no reason my T levels should not be at least in the mid levels of normal. To my knowledge I have never experienced what having that level of testosterone feels like. I read the T pharm literature talking about " getting the edge back " or " feel like you felt when you were younger " etc. On 11-23-09 I had, I believe, 10 Testopel pellets implanted. Then I had a Total T test taken on 12-23-09. The results came back today. My score went up a whole 30 points. 415 to 445. Very disappointing. $1000.00 for the pellets, $200.00 for the Dr. to put them in. I see him tomorrow to discuss the results. He acted confident this would get me to the middle of normal range. I'm not sure where to go from here. It's probably time for me to find another Dr. The Endocrinologist I see is really well known and respected in the city I live in but I may need to see someone that specializes in hormones. Anyone have any ideas or comments to share? My ears are open. Sorry this post is so long. Jack
