Guest guest
I had my yearly battery of blood work done with the addition of a 24 hour cortisol and creatinine urine test. My T numbers are not back but I expect them to be a little lower because I missed a shot because I was traveling (Doc won't let me do the shots myself). The cortisol total (blood) was 13.9mcg/dL and the urine cortisol was 59.9mcg/24hr both of which are fine. What did come back as high was IGF-I st 244ng/mL on a range of 86-220 and the creatinine urine was very high at 4.01 grams/24hrs with the top of the range being 2 grams/24hrs. The blood creatinine level was on the high end of the range at 1.27 Glucose was 110 which is high but not that high. I was well hydrated during the urine test so I am not sure what this means. I also had another MRI with contrast done and the pituitary adenoma has not grown which is good. Cholesterol was high but marginally so because I am on simvistatin. The ratio was 5.3 and the HDL was low at 38, but that's the story of my life. Any insight into the creatinine level and the IGF-I? Thanks, Joe
