Guest guest
The *new* Armour is available--for those of us previously on the *old* formulation of Armour it is a sad disappointment--we can obtain Naturethroid made by RLC in USA or obtain ERFA brand from Canada..El I have found the best meds for this problem are natural dessicated thyroid like Armour but we can't get Armour anymore > > I thought it is still available. Guest guest
If it is back out on the market it's not the same they changed it and this is why we could not get it. The FDA made them do study's proving it was safe. We use to put Armour under owr tounge now you can't why I don't know taste maybe or the way it breaks down you your mouth. People that got the new Armour before the FDA stopped them from making it found it did not work they went hypo again. Here is a cut and paste from this link. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/armour-vs-other-brands/ =================================================== ARMOUR (Armour was reformulated in 2009, supposedly decreasing the amount of dextrose and increasing cellulose. Unfortunately, numerous patients report problems with it and a return of hypo symptoms. Many are switching to Naturethroid or Canada’s Erfa and are not recommending others use Armour). It’s made by Forest Pharmaceuticals. It is made in the following strengths: 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 grain tablets. The 3 and 5 grain tabs are scored., One grain is 60 mg and contains 38 mcg. of T4 and 9 mcg. of T3, plus unmeasured amounts of T2, T1 and calcitonin. The latter three are not removed, as rumor occasionally states.
