Can Andro Gel raise Triglycerides?

I've been on TST for about 6 weeks. I was on the 5mg patches for about a month

and had a terrble reaction (blisters) after a month or so so just switched to

the 2.5 gel packs. I tried to tell the doc that effectively cut the dose in

half but he said it really should not change anything.

I just went in for my blood tests and I don't know. I had really low TST to

start with. It was 74 total so we retested and came back at 120 total and 61

free. I am 43 years old.

So I just got my labs back and the doc was not worried about the TST any longer

though I feel like I am dragging since he cut me down. My total TST is 205

<220-880>. He siad it is just below the low level so it is ok. I said that I

thought it was supposed to be up higher than that and he asked if I've been to

medical school. I said no but I have read about it. He said, look at you

numbers, you almost doubled where you were, and you don't want to risk running

your numbers up to the 300's or more when you were so low to start with, and I

should really be happy with the close to 100% increase.

He was much more concerned (I was too) with my Triglycerides that came in at

760. I am usually not great (250-300) but this seems high even for me. I treat

with Cholesterol meds and even that jumped about 50 points. So does TST affect

this reading? I asked about meds for triglycerides but he said, I am on

Chlesterol, headachache and now TST meds and the last thing I need is more

medication.

Any ideas.
