The key term in the abstract is " supraphysiological levels " , that means much

higher levels than the normal range.

A deep IM injection of Testosterone Cypionate supplies a " relatively " steady

concentration of " T " in circulation. In effect, it is a time release injection.

It takes 3 days to reach a peak and it's half life is around 10 days. While

there are variations in circulating " T " the variations are not that great.

With weekly injections you would most likely stay with a relatively close range

and never be outside the " normal " range. For example, your " T " might vary from

500-800, but never reach a supraphysiological level of 1500 or 2000.

Pure testosterone (not cypionate or ethanate) would result in a very high

concentration for a few hours and then dissipate rapidly.

The " Depo-Testosterone " we use yields a pure testosterone over a greater time as

the cypionate or ethanate metabolizes or breaks down slowly.
