Guest guest
Hi legend and Welcome, Yes I see this a lot in men younger men over doing it in the gym. Your Adrenals are over worked you need to get up to a minimum of 20 mgs of HC your very low first thing in the morning so as you get up to this dose do 10 mgs in the morning. I take mine at 5 am I still wake at this time now retired. And do my Test C shots then I go back to bed this way when I wake up at 8am I feel better. So talk to your Dr. about getting up to 20 mgs a day 10 mgs. in the morning then 5 mgs at lunch and 5 mgs at dinner. About every 4 hrs. I do 30 mgs /day your in the right place here we are up on all of this. Your TSH went down because your on Cytomel. Here is a link to how I got started treating my Adrenals and Thyroid read this print out the Chart and start taking your temps as your get your Adrenals supported your temp avg. will level out and you can add in some T4 and if needed later add more T3. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=24 Your feeling shaky because your Adrenals are not supported on enough HC. When your supported your Temps avg. will not go up or down more the 2ths. Your sleep is bad because with low cortisol your end up with low sugar in the middle of the night. Here is a cut and paste from this link. http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/ And in this link is a FAQ's I helped with at STTM. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/faq/ Read this FAQ's everything you need to know is in this. And to show you how safe being on HC is read this link the best parts from the book " Safe Uses of Cortisol. " Dr. Jeffries has the most knowledge on this. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/safe-uses/ ================================ Adrenal insufficiency is linked to insomnia in two ways. If your cortisol drops too low during the night your blood sugar drops too. Your body compensate by releasing adrenaline as an emergency measure to mobilize more sugar. This has the effect of waking you in an instant. This can be reduced by eating high protein snack before retiring e.g. sardines, nuts of high quality protein shake. In early stages of adrenal fatigue cortisol levels tend to rise and if they are high at midnight they can energise you and keep you awake. Phosphorylated serine can be used to lower cortisol at these times due to its ACTH dampening effect. --------------------------------------------------------- Do start on the compounded cream but do labs aging in 2 weeks to be sure it working some of the problems you have might have made your skin thicker and the cream might not get through your skin and your levels can fall lower. Once your brain sees the added Testosterone in your blood your brain will slow down sending the LH and FSH message to your Testis to make the little T your making and you can end up with only what the cream is doing. Talk to your Dr. about adding HCG do 250 IU's every 3 days on this cream to help keep your testis working HCG acts like LH the message from your brain. Once you can get your Total T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range your Estradiol will come back up some it's to low this can be why your not having night time and morning wood. Do not work out but try to get some Exercise like walking once you get tuned up and support your Adrenals you can go back into the gym but listen to your body if you feel weak, shaky or sick to your stomach your going into Adrenal Crisis and will need to stress dose your HC taking an extra 5 mgs every 30 min.'s up to 20 mgs added to over come this. Never let it get his bad over doing it. Free Testosterone is only 1 to 2% of your Total Testosterone this is all the T in your body so if your Total is low like yours is 334 2% or this is nothing when you get good levels like 800 then you worry about Free T being to low and in most cases it is due to high Estradiol levels with high SHBG levels. Here are some links you can read about low Testosterone. Also go to Dr. 's site and read TRT : A Recipe for Success and his HCG update he puts this out there free for you and your Dr. he is one of the best of the best on this. www.allthingsmale.com http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553 http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html If in 2 weeks your levels don't start to come up you might need to switch to shots starting with 100 mgs /week. If you need more help just ask. Guest guest
Hi Phil, Thank you for your quick response. I misspoke b/c I said I did not start on the TC yet, but also have not on HC and Cytomel. So the #1 issue for me is the shakiness (insomnia close behind) and not caused by the HC but been going on for a year since the gym. I was taking Armour 60 mg for 2 weeks prior to the latest TSH labs, but since stopped after doc said T4 is not necessary but T3 needs to come up a bit. I found the drop too remarkable. I want to start feeling better ASAP by taking the HC but its only 10 mg and afraid it may not be enough to begin with. I discussed the low dosage with doc but he does not want to raise it. I am concerned about the feedback loop much discussed on Adrenals site. Do you think I can get away with taking that and the TC at the same time for now or too risky?  Right now he wants me to take HC at 12 and 4. As for the TC, he said apply 2x daily not using hands but arms since hands are thicker, less waste that way. I am again curious and don't know the answer, but if cortisol and testosterone are related and both are low then is there a possibility cortisol is causing the problem not low T? Also my GP said labs sometimes come back wrong if tests were not done first thing AM when #'s are highest. But I did have labs done a year ago and total was almost the same, T free went down from 11.5 to 7.5. I will ask doc about HCG. is this precautionary to ensure Testis work once I come off TC? Also, could you privately send sources for the HC and TC? I am finding it very expensive, and if I cannot get the doc to up HC then I may have to get it w/o prescription. Do you think I should get the Cortef or is generic just as good ( I dont like getting from India)? I will stick with the compounded TC as it seems to be better choice? Tks a bunch.. Legend > From: legend888ls <legend888ls@...> > Subject: hi--New to the Forum and have ? about treatment > > Date: Saturday, May 22, 2010, 3:39 PM > Hello, > > First post here and would like to get some info regarding > testosterone and safety. > > My doc recently prescribed Test cream (100 mg compounded) > taken in 100 ml increments daily. I have not started > yet. Guest guest
Here is what I would do if I were you I now know for sure your going to do better even on 10 mgs of Cortef and you need to do both the HC and TC if you do this you will feel much better very fast your feeling this bad because you need HC bad. When you start on the HC start on 2.5 mgs or one half a 5 mg pill in the morning. If you jump on all of it at one time you can have a Thyroid dump what happens is all the Thyroid hormone in your blood will dump onto your cells and you will feel hyper, sweat, feel like your having a heart attack and so on. So go slow it's in the FAQ's link I gave you on how to start but here is a cut and paste. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/how-to-treat/ ==================================================== Day 1 – 3: 2.5 mg first thing in the AM (2.5 mg total) Day 4 – 6: 2.5 mg first thing, 2.5 mg in four hours (5 mg total) Day 7 – 9: 2.5 mg first thing; 2.5 mg in four hours; 2.5 mg in four hours (7 1/2 mg total) Day 10 – 12: 5 mg first thing; 2.5 mg in four hours; 2.5 mg in four hours (10 mg total) Day 13 – 16: 5 mg first thing; 5 mg in four hours; 2.5 mg in four hours; 2.5 mg bedÂtime (15 mg total) Day 17 – 20: 10 mg first thing; 5 mg in four hours; 2.5 mg in four hours; BedÂtime 2.5 mg (20 mg total) =================================================== And here is more info about this problem. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/ When you get to the 10 mgs your Dr. whats you to do but then he will see how good your doing and let you do 20 mgs print our Safe Uses for Cortisol you need to support your Adrenals so they can heal so some people do OK on 10 mgs they take it on the time they feel low. Some only need it in the morning and at noon. If you don't get supported on 10 mgs your will feel it and just call your Dr. and tell him you falling off or back sliding and feel you need more and your Dr. should right it for more then your taking in case you need to stress dose from over doing it or getting upset. More info coming in an Email.
