Hi all

Just to recap I have been trying sustanon 250 under the 'care' (i use the word

loosely) of my GP. i had one injection in december and it was a bit of a roller

coaster, and had another last week. i do feel a lot better on the whole but it

is still a bit of a roller coaster.

I saw an endo on the nhs who recommended a urologist if i wanted to try

Testosterone replacement. I mailed him but he didn't get back to me. I then

ended up seeing an unpleasant endo. he reluctantly agreed to let me try the

sustanon for a few months 'as a boost'. also said i had metabolic syndrome.

The urologist has finally got back to me, said he'd see me if i was referred,

and said i should almost certainly be on T, and asked what did the endo say to

me? i said lose substantial amount of weight and very reluctantly offered me a

3-5 month dose of sustanon.

well the urologist wrote back and said he never uses sustanon, it wears off too

quick and the levels of it vary widely in the body. he also said that the

concept of using T 'as a boost' doesn't work like that, said it needs 6-12

months to have metabolic effect . He said he favoured Nebido or the gels.

Has anyone tried nebido? how did you get on with it? on the whole i'm ok with

sustanon so i think i'd be ok with nebido.

I asked my gp to refer me to this urologist but he didn't like that at all, said

there's nothing wrong with sustanon and there's no point seeing a 5th

consultant! (he would actually be the 4th, he can't count). it comes down to

cost i think, equiva of about 5 dollars a go for sust, vs about 120 for nebido,

and i'd need 3 jabs in 3 months of nebido.

bottom line is, i could complain and force the issue and maybe get a referral

but this would strain the already strained dr -patient relationship (it would

also show the dr i won't be BSed). i think i'm going to have to change practices

soon anyway, they're useless.

Would people on here try to get a referral to the Nebido dr and be under

specialist care? Or try and see another endo? ik'm just wary that if i'm on T

and then a thyroid condition is revealed or I needed HCG then the uro wouldn't

do that. Does HCG just increase testicle size ? i'm not bothered about

fertility. after a month of being on sust i tthink my testicles have hardly

shrunk at all, i think they were hardly being stimulated at all by my body

before anyway.

way i see it i can either try and force this dr to refer me (he is not providing

adqueate care) or wait for the 3-5 months of T therapy and then ask for a

referal? but i'm concenred this gp does not know what he's doing and if i came

off T after 3-5 months (potentially next month) my own T will be suppresed and

i'll be in a mess, worse than ever.

Chris
