Guest guest
Hi, I've just stumbled upon this website and wonder whether anybody has any idea about my situation. I can't seem to use the search engine on the page to check for any similar experiences so I'm gonna have to run through my own... I'm a 37 year old man and recently got these results from a blood test - Total testosterone - 36.1 nmol/L (9.9 - 27.9) Free testosterone - 3.78 pg/ml (3.84 - 34.17) Estrogen - 151.6 pmol/L (28 - 156) FSH - 3.4 U/L (1.5 - 12.4) LH - 3.69 U/L (1.7 - 8.6) Prolactin - 284 mU/L (98 - 456) These results seem to be on a different scale to others that I have seen, but I hope that they are still interpretable... I've seen an endocrinoligist about these results but he was pretty unsure about what they meant. He said he's going to try to look into it, but suggested that there was probably nothing to be done about it... Does anybody else have any ideas? In terms of physical symptoms I've got very little facial or body hair, have suffered with depression and anxiety throughout my adult life and also have a problem with fluctuating energy levels, something I'd previously identified as hypoglycemia. I'm pretty lazy and and directionless generally and often have other problems that I've recently read about concerning low T levels, including 'brain fog'. Despite having a healthy diet and being pretty skinny, I also recently got high scores in a colesterol test. I spend a lot of time watching boxing and MMA as this seems to stimulate some kind of T feeling... I've got a pretty low libido and very little spontaneous wood although I love looking at porn in a effort to stimulate something... At this stage I'm not sure whether I'm just trying to find a new explanation for feeling 'not quite right' or whether these results acutally suggest something significant. A couple of doctors I've seen prior to this endocrinologist said that these results are pretty normal and nothing to worry about. I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this seemingly contradictory situation of high total and low free testosterone, and wonder whether this situation would seem to qualify me for possible TRT or not. Does anybody over there have any ideas!!!??? Dorr.
