Guest guest
I am 48, and I have been battling ED/hypogonadism for about 5-6 years. Originally, my T levels were slightly above the bottom of the range (300 on a scale of 250-1100) so my doctor prescribed Cialis. Over time, this became less effective, my T level dropped to around 270, so he prescribed testim (5 tubes daily). That helped for a few months, then became less effective also. I pretty much quit taking anything for a couple of years. Went back to the doc a couple of months ago and (after reading some of the posts on here) had him check estrogen as well as Testosterone...my T level was 250--but my estrogen was 49! He has me on Androgel now--no effect that I can see. I have started taking DIM and zinc--he ruled out prescription aromatase inhibitors because he didn't think the ratio was important. This was my PCP... So my questions are--should I get another doctor? An endocrinologist? Should I be taking more things than DIM and zinc? What would be a better ratio? 10-1? 15-1?
