Have you looked into the possibility that your State may have a RISK

HEALTH INSURANCE POOL.......in Minnesota and other States....you qualify

if you can get a rejection letter from any other health

insurer.....State Farm gave me my rejection....I also have Medicare BUT

it DOES NOT cover prescriptions and you have the deductibles....thru the

State insurance program I have a real good supplemental Medicare policy

for 642.00 every three months plus I pay 205 of prescription drug

cost.....call your State Commerce Dept and ask them if your State has

any similar programs......and GOOD LUCK.....lymebrain

Hi Gail,

I do work and it is a bear, I can hardly make it somedays. But I am the

insurance earner. I do feel guilty because i don't cook or clean, but i get

home and just collapse. I take my little grandgirls when I can, but it just

wears me out. It makes me feel bad. I used to own a story, coordinator for

the mall, work full time, do all the ordering, etc. Now I am lucky to make it

to work and last the day. I know what you mean about self esteem. I even

played the lottery the other day, I always forget. I am afraid to go check

my numbers for fear of disappointment. That just isn't or wasn't me until

Lyme. It sure does a job on us. Take care and just keep doing the best you

can as you are now.

Love,

Connie MI

Hi Gail,

Yes that is mighty tight. I still think you will qualify for some

government programs, and you should grab them if you can. Reid always

suggests that you get involved with your State Representatives. You live in

Pa, don't you? Pardon my Lymebrain if I am in error. Reid or someone also

mentioned that they raised the amount of income to $700 per month. I am

going to write to a friend of mine who lives in NC, she started a work at

home process through SSDI to earn herself some extra $, I am going to ask

her to help you and write you with some ideas, her name is R'nai, I sure

hope something good comes out of it. I am sending her a cc of this letter,

so please forgive that I am leaving all the onelist stuff at the bottom.

Meantime, I am still going to wrack my brain and see what else I can come up

with.

Hugs,

Marta

Marta: Thanks...I called Social Security today and asked them if the amount

did go up to $700 per month. THEY INFORMED ME THAT ANYTHING OVER $200 A

MONTH IS CONSIDERED 'EARNING A MEANINGFUL INCOME' AND THEY WILL INVESTIGATE

IT AT THE END OF A NINE MONTH TRIAL PERIOD. If they deem you well enough to

ean $500 a month, you become ineligible for your benefits!!

Isn't that amazing?????I have three kids!!! Its a shame.

Thanks sssssssssoooooooooooo much thol.

warm wishes for wellness

Gail
