Guest guest
Dug, I know what your going through. I took care of my mom for two years . We moved to Tucson Az to retire and my mom got real sick. They thought she had cancer of the bile Ducks. We spent almost two years taking her to different doctors and no one could figure it out. The best specialists and still no one could figure. Now she was down to 80lbs soaking wet. So i finally told her that all those docs took her for way to much money. Even though she is a military widow, i felt like they knew nothing. So we took her to the mayo Clinic in Scotsdale AZ.She has Lupus which if you don't know what that is its an auto amune diease. They gave her Pretnazone. She is doing great now. I hate doctors and i am not intimadated by any of them. So if you don't feel comfortable with one keep looking. I will pray for you and your mom, good luck, --- DUG Nunya-Bidness <dug853@...> wrote: > Not much to tell at this point, we're getting a > second opinion, we went to an appointment yesterday > and they did a new needle-biopsy to determine > whether the cancer is 'still' Squamous-cell, or if > it has become a Basal-cell type..... > > The doctor feels that it's 'probably' still > Squamous, which is 'better' in some ways as it would > respond better to radiation rather than the Basal > which would require surgery and chemo to > 'attempt-to' eradicate. > > We'll 'probably' get results in 2-3 weeks from the > slides, and will be able to go from there. > > Waiting....... really BITES in these types of > situations, but,... better to KNOW and act > accordingly.....rather than perform > unnecessary-procedures....especially when they're as > TAXING as chemo-/-radiation. etc > > Thanks for the 'good-thoughts' and whatever else > is/are Your personal custom/s in these types of > situations. > > I'll keep all updated, as soon as we know more. > __________________________________________________
