Guest guest
I felt it important to forward this article and the replies to my fellow group members for several reasons, first of all because it is, of course pertinent to us all, but secondly because of the misinformation included in the article and because of who supplied the information. Lyme disease not contagious? Lyme disease treatable? Lyme disease not fatal? Partially true to all of the above, but not true enough not to get my back up! No wonder " our " problem is not being given the consideration it so desperately deserves! There has to be a way to insure that the public be sufficiently warned that Lyme IS a communicable disease, only those lucky enough to be treated immediately can, in fact, be helped, and that Lyme can be, and has been FATAL. Please forgive me, guys. The vaccine issue is a real sore one with me...just reading that the test subjects were " carefully monitored " (or however Steere put it) was enough to get my blood boiling! --
