Hi list,

I'm confused. I went to website to read about ROCEPHIN. How does it help

Lyme, when it's intended use seems to be for inner ear infections!!!

Hi Mel,

Rocephin is an antibiotic that can be used for many diseases, not just

ear infections. As a matter of fact doxycyline the main drug used for Lyme

disease treatment, was not invented for that use, yet it has been found to

be helpful. The only approved drug on the market specifically patented for

the treatment of Lyme disease is Ceftin, yet, I am sure that it has been

found useful for other diseases. There is just not enough research for

drugs to cure Lyme disease, and hopefully with all this vaccine talk, SKB or

some other pharmaceutical company will work on it.

Hugs,

Marta
