Hi all..

Has anyone slipped within days of quitting meds?? I am so sick of this I

could scream. I finally get on something that really helped, and then I

have to stop because my lip is getting more swollen than it usually is. For

the last year I've been having a heck of a time staying on meds because I

seem to react to everything along with food, cleaning products, and life for

that matter! I was so excited that I finally got on an antibiotic that was

working and now THIS!! Is it possible to slip so much within two days?? A

measly two days?? It's not supposed to be herx time either.

Did I mention that I am sick of this?? To top it off, the family is up

north until Thursday and I HATE being alone when I feel like this.

I've complained enough....back to the couch..it misses me. Did I mention

that I am sick of this?? :)

Take care all,

Anita

Gosh Anita, I can relate to the sensitivity to all kinds of things. I

don't know exactly what it is but recently I reacted to something in my

environment. It could be the Bacteriostatic Normal Saline or the Heparin.

Those two carry the highest suspicions since I have the most contact with

them.

Hi Anita,

What was the med that you stopped? I have been off all abx for a week

now, and immediately felt just as lousy, as before, with the added fun of

itchies and rashes and, like my early dx, shortly after my tick bite. A

dear friend suggested to me that my meds (Zith and Ceftin) may have a

half-life and still be in my body, plus it was period time so I could have

been herxing. It is a big mystery to me. I am so sorry you are alone when

you are feeling so rotten, that is the very worst. I think you should call

your doctor on Tuesday and see what he thinks. In the meantime, we are here

on the list for you to vent with.

Hugs,

Yep....I'm going to call the doc first thing Tuesday.....

The med that i quit was the Cipro...it was the first thing that has really

helped <sniff> As soon as I increased it, POOF.....my lower lip started to

get worse. Who knows.

By the way, I remember the last time I reacted to other antibiotics my doc

told me it takes approx. three to four days to get out of your system and

sometimes longer.

Thanks for listening again and hope everyone is keeping cool!
