Guest guest
Hi Jane, So sorry you have the herniation problem too. Mine came out of the blue from Lyme, I never had a neck or back problem prior to that, so I am assuming it is related to the Lyme diagnosis. My visit to the neurosurgeon was a waste of time, he sent me to Phys Therapy, when that did not help, he wanted to operate, and I just did not think it was that bad to warrant major surgery. I figure when I can no longer use my arms (both of them) I will be ready for it. Wow, better watch out with those falls, they may or may not be related to your disc herniation, but you sure don't want to break any bones on top or that, I am sure you will make your 42nd birthday, this disease takes a very long time to kill us off, so just hang in best you can and pray for a cure. Hugs, Marta NJ Tick found in scalp, August 1996. I live in South Jersey and my tick bite was from here. Tested positive for HME & Lyme disease in Feb 1997. Have had 6 weeks of IV, on oral meds for over 3 years now. Suffering from Peripheral Neuropathy, Herniated cervical discs. Still herx monthly. I am waiting for my neurologist to take a look at the results with her own eyes before I call any neurosurgeon! I'm surprised they didn't find them all herniated with all my recent falls! I seem to have a thing for landing on my back and smacking my head on the hard floor!!! LOL Don't worry, haven't done that in a few weeks! I am just falling apart.... Will she make it to her 42nd B'day?? Stay tuned (<: Take Care Everyone! {{hugs}} Jane>>>>>
Guest guest
Hi Mona, I have considered seeing a chiropractor, my husband has a lot of faith in his. He mentioned me to this chiro and he didn't want to work on me....??? Right now, I forget why. But, I kind of shelved the idea after that. I know PT was a killer for me, and I hesitate to let anyone touch me right now, but maybe in the future, Thanks for the suggestion, Hugs, Marta Tick found in scalp, August 1996.
