Guest guest
" Daaahhlings - It's time to do brunch in Albany! MisTick takes Albany, I can see it now! And then we could do the Capitol Tour (after we see the Guv and maybe a Senator or two - such fun!!). Oh, Do Say You'll Go! " Well perhaps it *Would* be undignified to take MisTick to Albany. Then again maybe P. would like to pose with her for a Picture, who knows? All kidding aside: Let's make some definite plans to " do brunch " in Albany if we can get a bite from the Guv or anyone else. We could take the tour: http://assembly.state.ny.us/Tour/1info.html " Guided tours of the New York State Capitol are available seven days a week. If you are planning on being in the Albany area, and are interested in a guided tour of the Capitol, call your local Assemblymember or contact the Office of General Services - Visitor Assistance at (518) 474-2418 for tour times. " Well we should be able to get info on location of Guv's office, right? ALL RIGHT so who is going to call their Assembly person or Senator and see if a group could come up and meet with an Assembly person or Senator or two once we get a date from Governor - which maybe should coincide with sessions below? i don't know how this works. On session days does that mean we can be assured they WILL be there - not at home - so maybe a few would meet with us? Or do we schedule for days Assembly persons/Senators will NOT be in Session.? http://www.senate.state.ny.us/ " Message From Senator ph Bruno Welcome to the New York State Senate Home Page! When I became Majority Leader of the State Senate, I pledged to open up new lines of communication between the people of this great state and their representatives. To follow through on that pledge, we created the New York State Senate Web Page to make it easier to learn more about the Senate and what we do on behalf of the people of New York State. " " (NY Senate) Session Days: January 5, 10, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 31 " Do we go on one of those days or do we NOT go on one of those days. Important to remember MLK Day is Jan 17th. So if he wants to open new lines of communication, lets see if he will talk to us!!! Comments? I think Albany rather than OPMC should be our first stop. We will not influence OPMC - which is what we idealistically and pathetically hope and need to do *now* - OPMC is to draw attention to the cause, to the harrassment, and to Lyme Disease sufferer's plight in General that is my thought - not ruling it out very soon, lets just make Guv's office our first - and FASTEST - priority - it may already be too late. Somebody should tell Dr. B. to ask for a " stay " of the judgment or a postponement, delay, etc. in the hearings so that political action can be taken in the meantime. I don't know legal maneuverings. i still don't have a good New York Times Contact - need phone, street address, name of editor, newsroom person, e-mail, etc. And I subscribe to Sunday edition! You would think " how hard could it be " - well my lyme brain could not do it previous to OPMC rally, I tried. Any suggestions? Whoever is up for rumbling to Albany e-mail Ellen (ha ha, she's asleep) and she can tally the total. I can not do 19th (I wanna go!) and 17th is MLK (is there an echo?)
