This was my original post about Lyme-green coins. Many people missed it because

they weren't reading mail over the holidays.

Not long ago, in a different publication, someone suggested us Lymies use

Lime-green fingernail polish to put some kind of mark on our coins (a dot or x

or just a 'splash'). This was to show how many of us there are and how much we

affect the economy by showing our money circulating. Now that we are trying to

be more politically active and attempting to have our voices heard even more,

would now be a good time to try something like this? What do you guys think?

Dumb idea? Could we even get enough people to actually do it enough to make an

impact? Let's bat this idea around a bit and see if it's something we want to

pursue.

SO - What do YOU think?

[Lyme-aid] OT but a help to lymies

From: " sue " <quincy@...>

Just remembered about doing this & thought it might help those of us with

memory problems. So as not to have to remember whether I have updated my

antivirus definitions, I have taken to changing the color of my desktop

whenever I do so.( say this week it is red, then the next time I change to

green). I also keep a log in a notebook.

Having the memory problems I do, I have to make use of as many helpers as

I can.

Learned to make lists of stuff for me to do. The only problem is to make

sure the list does not then get covered up. Then I will forget to do it.

One of my favorite acronyms is PIA. Pain in the ***. Or PIB for pain in

the butt. whichever you prefer.

I read most likely here about painting coins with lime green nail polish,

which I think is a great idea. After searching & finding lime green nail

polish, I started to mark my coins. But there are too many. So I only marked

my quarters & dimes. Then I got to thinking that dime rhymes with lyme, so

in the future I may only mark the dimes. My spouse when I explained what I

was doing, thought I was talking about limies,(people from GB) Had to

explain to him what I meant. PIA.

Robynn,

I am sorry I missed responding to this before, but I did see it, I think it

is a terrific idea and I am off today to find Lime green nail polish.

Hugs,

Marta
