Lyme Shoulder

This may not be suitable for this group because it is outside the

scope of Buhner's book. I just got the book recently and it

is very intersting. I am looking forward to going through it in detail.

This is an update on my shoulder. I have complications with my right

shoulder because I have an injury from work before the lyme set in.

I've been going to a naturopath doctor and massage therapist. Neither

one was able to get my right shoulder and arm to release. It has been

frozen and drawing up. Even sleeping was extrememly painful most

nights especially if I moved wrong. I was waking up multiple times a

night just to position my arm and pillow(s) to get in a position to

ease the pain. Even pulling the covers up with my arm was almost too

much strain causing more pain.

After one session with the massage therapist/energy therapist and I

can stretch my arm out more and turn it from side to side. It is still

really stiff but so much better and was able to get a good night's

sleep last night. I can actually turn my radio on in my car without

moving my whole body. I believe the next session next week will give

even better results.

The massage therapist did not like working on my arm and shoulder

because it caused so much pain. He was afraid of hurting me not

knowing if there was a tear in my arm or not. So, I had an MRI and

just have lots of swelling in my arm - no tear.

So, I am encouraged. My lyme condition over all seems to be getting

better and now my arm is getting better too. Apparently I have lots

of stored energy in my arm that needs to be released so that my arm

will loosen up. My shoulder blade on the right side was sticking way

out and now it is looking more normal. The treatment was somewhat

painful but not nearly what it was with the massage therapist. It is

the good kind of pain where you know you are getting better. I can

handle that kind of pain.

So, I am encouraged. I can't wait until my next appointment.

Not all energy therapists (and there are all kinds) are equal. I've

been going to a very good energy therapist for months but she did not

have the technique that would specifically help my condition. Over

all, she is very good but her work is more general and not as specific

as the present therapist.

By the way, I have been getting a biocleanse (ionic foot cleanse)

twice a week and that is helping so much. I can tell a difference

every time I go. I am getting a lot of toxins out associated with

joint toxicity causing lyme arthritis. I have pains here and there

but not the debilitating condition that was sweeping my body and

getting worse on a daily basis as before when I found out that I had

lyme disease. The biocleanse along with the cold laser and herbs,

salt/c and other things I am doing seem to be helping. At least I can

work and keep my job.

I tend to do whatever I can naturally and traditional medical

treatment was not an option for me. I cannot take antibiotics and

medicines. So, I have had to search out other alternatives. The

naturopath doctor is helping so much in a lot of ways and now the

energy therapist is helping with my arm. I am very hopeful and truly

thankful that I am getting better and feeling as well as I am.
