Guest guest
Dear Yarrow, Welcome! I was also diagnosed/misdiagnosed with CFIDS for 14 years. Supposedly, I had/have classic CFIDS symptoms, which I have since found out are classic Lyme symptoms. I was re-tested at a proper Lyme testing lab (IgeneX) over a year ago and tested positive for active Lyme. If you cannot test for Lyme right now because of finances (I think IgeneX also has some type of payment plan)but think that you have it you could just start treating " as if " anyway. Many people who have Lyme actually test negative, which is why treating based primarily on clinical symptoms is so prevalent. Some of us here also belong to the LymeStragegies board where salt/c is the main protocol. You might want to look into that as well. Glad that you decided to change your onlooker status :-). Guest guest
Dear Yarrow, Love your name. Welcome to you. I am one of the ones that wrote about Susun Weed. I love her books. I have had lyme for 24 or more yrs, had been dxed with cfids, fibro and ei. Just dxed 2 yrs ago with lyme and co. Your story sounds so much like mine. As do your symptions. I work on mind, body, spirit emotions and do all alternative meds, including flower essences. I also use intuition, pendulum and muscle testing. Although, at times like the last few weeks it has been hard for me to stay grounded with all the physical going on and stress. This too shall pass. Anyway, just want to welcome you and say that I am sure you will be a great added addition to our wonderful group. Blessings to your healing. Guest guest
Welcome Yarrow. You have so many things that I/we relate to. Although I dont have time to respond to many post I did want to welcome you. I think there are many on this list including Ellen, Joyce, me and quite a few others who can surely relate to your story. I am completely overwhelmed here at work and probably will be for next 3 months with huge job. We do industrial engraving and its very noisy and not condusive to healing and I feel stuck in a unfortunate situation that I only have myself to blame (be careful of what you ask for)- Anyways I wont be a participant much but will be eagerly looking forward to yours and others beautiful dialog and sharing of experiences and success stories. I love this subject heading... Gratitude & more............ Blessings and Peace to you as well, Sam H. Guest guest
Dear Yarrow, welcome, I'm sure we'll learn from you, as well as vice versa. I love your name! Yarrow is my favorite herb, because of its many healing properties. I encourage it to grow all over my garden. I'm sorry you have headaches and such pain. I hope you will gain relief and healing from Buhner's Herbal Protocol if you choose to go that way. Wonder if you have tried feverfew for your migranes? I don't have any personal experience with it, have heard it is recommended. I agree that if you can't afford the test, start treating the symptoms. I don't have insurance, so I can relate. As far as your symptoms, I'm not familiar with all of them, but I do know that muscle, joint pain, headache and fatigue are classic Lyme symptoms [as well as symptoms of a dozen other conditions, unfortunately!]. I have only recently begun to experience life without that debilitating fatigue, which is really hard to explain to people who have not experienced it. It's nothing like 'being tired', is it? That fatigue was so pervasive for me, I had forgotten there was any other way to be. Now I feel my stamina returning, it's made a big improvement in my mental/emotional outlook. Let us know how you do, feel free to ask lots of questions. There is a lot of info on the list, so I suggest you also look back. You sound like you have such a nice life, living by the ocean, etc, if you can just get hold of this one thing. I'm pulling for you! best, ellen ps- no post is too long in my opinion.(smile) > > Hello Dear Friends, > > This is my first post here, though i've been " browsing " for a few days. > My internet name is Yarrow, and i've come here to explore and expand and connect in the midst of healing. > > I've had what has been termed " cfids " for over twenty years, as well as chemical sensitivity. > > For over thirty years i've studied herbs and natural healing, and my greatest interest is in spiritual healing. Guest guest
Hi Yarrow, I loved to read your introduction and the answers of the members! You seem to have lyme by the description of your symptoms... I had, I think, all of your symptoms and more. I still got babesia, so had the awful air hunger, fevers etc, to add to lyme symptoms. Now I'm 95% well, except when I take metal chelators. You'll love to be again able to be under the sun, stand strong light, and get your stamina back. I would never think standing sunlight would cause so much pleasure. It's like being reborn again! You didn't mention chills, it's funny. Most lyme sufferers have chills (or only feel cold, low body temperature). Hope you'll like the group! Welcome! Selma
Guest guest
Hi Yarrow, Welcome. You may have read that Buhner is doing an advice column on my website Planet Thrive. I just wanted to let everyone know that Susun Weed has agreed to a column as well and I am in the process of setting that up. I am very very excited about this. We will have 2 expert herbalists and you will be able to learn more about her approach to healing on my site soon. Her focus is not on Lyme but I am sure her words will be of great interest to many of you. I too have extensive chemical sensitivities and a recent Lyme diagnosis and am hoping that treating the Lyme will address the MCS as well. It's so nice to have you on this list. Cheers, www.PlanetThrive.com > > Hello Dear Friends, > ...Before giving a bit about my own health stuff, i wanted to reply to the person who wrote asking about Susun Weed and the varying views on liver health.
