Hi, Okay have MIlitary Dr's caught the don't treat madness now too or are they just incompetent overall? I was hoping to us the military guidelines in my talk with my Congressmen on May 3rd. I was using old data and the fact that my brother-in-law was at Quantico Marine OTS (don't remember for sure what they called it) when he got LD along with 8 others. They all were treated with the 6 weeks a few days after the bite. He and one other guy got sick enough they were excused from the Iron Man Hike at the finish and allowed to take it one year later. He seems to be fine now but I am worried about my sister and her girls. She had a lot of trouble with the last pregnancy and birth and then the baby wouldn't eat on her own, (she had tube for a month), until she was 8 months. She is only at about 8 months development now and at the 5% in growth. Her year birthday was April 15. Her other two daughters have had tons of ear and throat infrections and allergies, and more than usual behavior problems which we have seen in our family with the allergies, My sister ridded the house of anything, furnishings, cleaning products. She was a stickler that her kids got a balanced died, fresh food, vitamins and some of the milder herbs that were reccommended for kids with allergies and ear infections. We had pets, dust, off the shelf cleaning products and since I had a weight problem I kept good food in the house but did not monitor everything they ate and quantities. I also did not prohibit treats for special occassions and supper dessert. They had allergies and some of the infections but nothing like these girls have. I have stayed with them one week a year, a month right after the last baby was born, for the last five years so I got to know the routine. So do I have to drop " however the military treats Lyme Disease " from my arsenal? Lynn in St Editor Tick Talk ..
Guest guest
So do I have to drop " however the military treats Lyme Disease " from my arsenal? Lynn in St Editor Tick Talk Lynn, The Senate and the House Bill both mention the military & LD and I think this is just as important as all of us civilians that contract it. When soldiers train in an area and so many become ill, the gov't has a little harder time covering up. They try to and still do, but I believe what each of us has experienced in our communities should be addressed whether civ or military. The more attention we bring to this sooner or later it has to be addressed. So try and gather as much as possible, but even sharing experiences and communicating to our Reps. what has happened to our families and friends, our neighborhoods and across the States, is what this is all about. We need action, not promises. Barb F. .. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Was the salesman clueless?
