It took me over two yrs to find a doctor who would treat me. I started out with the same symptoms. My legs were so weak that I had to use a cane to get around and then My arms could not hold thevane anymore and I was bedridden. I saw everything around me very blurry. Almost as if I were looking through a long tube. I remember looking out the window and the leaves on the trees used to freak me out.. they used to move all over.. round and round. I had no control of my eyeballs or sight. That among many other symptoms like your friend has. Fortunatley I was able to find a Lyme Disease Doctor and get treated Intravenously with Rocephin. I started to get better right away . I was able to walk again and my sight cleared up after only several weeks. It felt great to get out of the house again. But I DO remember how horrible it felt to feel that way and not know what was wrong with me for so long. The speculation was horrible. I read every medical book around ( b4 my eyes got waky)and thought I had every disease that I read abt. Amy.. Chemo sounds crazy !!!!!!! How any doc could reccomend CHEMO w/out a valid reason is CRAZY !!!! I am not a doctor, but I can't understand how any doc could reccomend CHEMO not knowing what is wrong with the patient. Truthfully I'd RUN to another doc. Please Tell ur friend to hang in there and to NOT GIVE UP !! I know what it is like to feel desperate and so sick . But he will get better. I have said this before and I truly do believe that God never gives any more than he knows we can handle, and just when we think we really can't handle anymore he will help us. Many of us on this list will agree I am sure. Look at My Dear Lymie friend Cyntha..Thank God she is on Doxy now, and heading in the right direction to better health. Prayer is a great thing, I will pray for your friend as I do for each and every one of us every night. I have a good feeling abt him. Just HANG IN THERE and BE STRONG !!
