Guest guest
Just recieved this from Jeannine who is already on her way to Bethesda. Let us bow our heads in a moment of silence and be grateful she is one of us! Whew! Marleen I'm outta here for Bethesda. See attached. " Leavin' On A Lyme Train " To the Tune of " I'm Leavin' On A Jet Plane " ………….dedicated to Lovey All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go My kete's are cranked, my B.P.'s low, I hate to wake you up to say good-bye....... There's a Bum Steere getting an award in DC So that's the place I have to be Already I'm so exhausted I could cry.... I'm A'Leavin' On a Lyme Train don't know when I'll be back again Oh Steere, I hate to go...... There's so many times I've banged around So many times I've fallen down My equilibrium, it don't mean a thing Kete's - - every place I go, I think of you The tinnitus I hear, reminds me of you When I get back, better not have a Bull's Eye Ring, I'm A'Leavin On A Lyme Train don't know when I'll be back again Oh Steere, I hate to go...... My legs are shakin' My heart is weak If I see Steere I think I'll freak Hope the reporter's are a Lymie's friend Lots of Lymie's will say " No - Steere - No " This isn't the way we'll let you go We'll see our stories have a happy end... Cause I'm A'Leavin On A Lyme Train don't know when I'll be back again Oh Steere, I hate to go...... " ****************************************** November 2, 1999 Today and tomorrow those of us who can go and have the ability to go and the strength to go and the proximity to go WILL GO to Demonstrate in Bethesda, MD, on the step of NIH, against a Doctor who has significantly impeded the progress of caring and compassionate doctors who have tried to medically improve life for Lyme disease sufferers. A doctor who has testified against his own, who has betrayed the principles of good science and humane medicine, a doctor who has adversely influenced the progress of infectious disease research, causing hundreds and thousands of the public: doctors, patients, and citizens, to receive negative and erroneous information about the SERIOUSNESS and treatment of Lyme disease ........Resulting in denial of treatment, benefits and adequately aggressive treatment for Lyme disease sufferers. Please take the time today and tomorrow to send us a prayer and a wish for success from your hearts.
