Guest guest
Fransea, Your ribbon can help us a great deal with the " National Lyme Disease Ribbon Tieing Day " . ( did I spell tieing right?) LOL I spoke to Reid about this idea briefly, but I will tell you guys abt my idea and see what you think .. Okay well... do you remember when we had that Massive emailing day back in Nov.? Nov. 15th I think it was.. well that day we sent all of our email out to everyone and called it a massive email attack .. Now I was thinking that we should make a date for everyone to walk out side their homes and tie a few ribbons on trees in our neighborhoods and tie a green ribbon on our cars. If we all do it on the same day.. people will wonder what all of these are about. Also.. EVERYONE can do this. Everyone can be included. We have to continue to get recognized. WE definitely educated a few people at the protest and if we keep talking about Lyme and doing things to remind people of lyme they will be more aware of our cause the next time we get out and protest. The stickers that ( I think LINDA made) were FABULOUS !!! such a GREAT JOB !!!!! I want to get more of them and we can put them on our bumpers as well.. WE HAVE TO GET NOTICED. We have been doing so much for our cause.. sending letters , making calls , protesting .. Don;t you all feel like we are hot on a roll to do all we can to get noticed? If you guys think the ribbon tieing thing is a good idea then lets make a date and do it. Sometime real soon . We can Use Fransea's all weather ribbons. Thanks Fransea !! Waiting to hear what you guys think ..
Guest guest
, I think it is a terrific idea, but it will be expensive, I suggest you start a fund for this, and pick the day, if Fransea or whoever can do the job of making the stickers and ribbons, they will need money for supplies etc. she or whoever can mail them to you or whoever will be in charge, and we can order them from you for a fee. I also think we best set this up for May (Lyme disease month) and take orders now till then as shipping costs and such must be included in the cost of the ribbons etc. Some people may want to use their own ribbons I guess, but it would be great if we could come up with something unique and make some money on this venture, so we could contribute it to Dr O's legal fund. Just my thoughts, very early in the AM, someone may have much better idea, Hugs, Marta NJ >From: BearyPrety@... > >Fransea, >Your ribbon can help us a great deal with the " National Lyme Disease Ribbon >Tieing Day " . Guest guest
One thing I suggest is I have heard Friday is a slow news day generally, especially in Washington D.C. But if some how we could check ahead with lawmakers schedules and coordinate times we could meet with our own reps., it may be better. If some leave town early on Fri., then that won't work.
