Guest guest
With all the muttering about Plum Island and political idiocy in our medical problem I thought I'd add a whole dollar bill to the works. I have started, but not finished, a book titled What Doctors Don't Tell You: The Truth About The Dangers Of Modern Medicine, by Lynne McTaggart. If you don't want to know more bad news don't read this book. However if you are interested in the craziness that exists in all aspects of medicine this is something that can't be put down. Why did I put it down? Because I don't want to believe what this book says. Before Lyme I probably wouldn't have believed any of this book. But now that I do know that politics and money affect EVERYTHING I believe the bad (and this book) too often. Just a thought for those of you who still like to read. =) Robynn PS The book doesn't mention Lyme, but it could certainly fill an entire chapter. Maybe I'll write the author a short note. Guest guest
Is it politics & money per se that affects medicine or is it plain old greed? Thank you for the book referral. I too am not sure I want to read, but part of me says I can't afford not to read this book. Wishing us all health and freedom from pain, both physical and emotional -
Guest guest
Robynn, Thanks for the information, I ordered the book today from Amazon via the computer. It is $10 plus $3.95 for shipping. It is a paperback. I guess I should prepare myself to be frightened, but to be honest I always suspected as much. Recently the Philadelphia Inquirer ran a series about Hospital mistakes that have killed people....there were quite a few. The information came to light when a hospital filed bankruptcy and the people who bought the hospital released the information, otherwise it would have stayed covered up and many people would never had known the reason they lost their loved ones. It is very scary and I really hate to ever go into a hospital even before I read this article. Again, thanks for telling us about this book.
