I actually did check the web site but the shoe descriptions did not state whether or not they have a removeablace insole. I appreciate your consideration and effort though. What are SAS shoes? Actually, I now can wear most shoes as long as they don't have a heel (and sandals must have a back-strap), but I am beginning to feel like it would be much better for me to wear my orthotics as much as I can as I am concerned about the effects of not doing so. The orthotics are easier to accomadate than the AFO's - the only tricky part is that a shoe must be deep. Thanks again Oh, by the way, my eye is mostly recovered and I'm seeing 20/30 now (I'm not sure if you recall, I wrote in a bit panicked in late April/ early May after implant surgery). > Marti, > > I just pulled up Keds website. You might find it helpful. Sorry, I don't have any personal experience with AFOs or orthodics. My mother does and she wears SAS shoes. Anyway maybe this will be of some help to you. > > www.keds.com > > > > > P.S. Guest guest
Marti, My name is and I live in Del Rio, Texas. Regarding your e-mail about SAS shoes, It is indeed a company headquartered in San as SAS stands for San Shoes. They are extremely comfortable shoes, they are good leather and some are actually stylish, though they are most noted for comfort and durability rather than looks. I do not know if they would accomodate orthotics though, have never had to use them in that way. They are a bit expensive, haven't bought a pair in about 5 or 6 years and the regular loafers at that time were $45 per pair. There is a SAS Factory here in Del Rio and if you are unable to obtain any information thru the toll free number, I would be happy to go to our factory, which also has an outlet store, and see if I can get a brochure or something for you. Just FYI it is San Shoe, Inc; Blvd.;Del Rio, TX 78840 Ph#830-768-7200.
