Guest guest
Attention all protest letter writers, back in January there was another article regarding the investigation of Dr Burrascano and the usual rhetoric about Lyme being easily treated. Comments by Weld of the ADLF with the usual stomach turning garbage. I cannot attach the article on Lyme-aid as it is in a format that takes forever to download. I will forward the entire article to anyone who writes me privately. Here are the first two paragraphs: Washington Times January 16,2000 by: Joyce Price TREATMENT OF LYME DISEASE SPLITS MEDICAL COMMUNITY The medical community is divided over the proper testing and treatment for Lyme disease, and many patients with the condition charge that doctors who advocate long-term treatment are being unfairly targeted by the medical establishment. " There is an unjustified witch hunt going on. . . . Almost every top Lyme doctor is under investigation, " said Klein of Silver Spring, a lawyer who's being treated with two antibiotics for chronic Lyme disease. I received mail from in VA, on behalf of Lyme disease support group leader, Ken Klein. He is in charge of the Washington Metro Area Lyme Association. Ken was very impressed with the response to the Boston Globe, over 500 messages I believe. Unfortunately the Washington Times does not give the option of writing comments or responses to articles to a web site. We are asking that all of you who will be so kind, to email or snail mail the editors of the Washington Times, thanking them for the article and expressing your opinions about the present situation of physician investigation and harassment. I know that is tough to do when you have not read the entire article, but possibly just sending a general letter, as we have been sending to politicians etc., would suffice.
