Guest guest
Lederer: CANOPY: Urine Specimen Definitions: RELIEF: what trees do in the spring Medical Definitions: PARALYZE: Two falsehoods Extra: There is a new typeset developed for use on church stationary. It’s called the baptismal font. -------- While the IV was in just fine until the nurse this afternoon screwed up royally. She forgot to allow the Rocephin in the line before she hooked it up to my line. There was a big line of air. I mean a good 8 inches of air. I said wonderful, just wonderful. Not out loud. So she tried to fix it by disconnecting the tubing and flushing it. But instead she pulled out the IV slightly and then bent the catheter. And the blind bat couldn't see that she did it!!! ACK!!! I could see it clearly. So the IV had to come out. And IVs don't start on me very well. So there I am with another stab and a miss. Second nurse comes and she couldn't find a place. Then the nurse with a brain comes. He is really good. But it took him two tries. And guess where it is? at the Wrist! OUCH!!! It really, really hurts. Have you ever hit your inner wrist area accidently? Pain goes up and down your arm and all over you body. I felt like someone knocked the wind out of me. Still feel very weak. And to boot this was a nausea day. Got up then went back to bed, cold and nauseated. Got up at 2:30 PM so the nurse could infuse me. at the Wrist -- not too great for typing either. Tim, the nurse with a brain talked to me about a PICC line today too. He says I don't have very good looking veins for IVs or PICCs. He found one 80-90% vein on my right arm. So now I wait for the doctor to make a decision about a PICC line. The nurse will talk to him tomorrow. Kiana M. Rossi mailto:bornfree@...
