Re: Dr. Horowitz - contacting him??!!

After I left him a long message on his machine about the potential Time

story, Dr. Horowitz left me a message on my machine on Friday AND today. I

will return his call tomorrow but I want some advice on what to say to him.

I called him to find out if he'd be willing to " come out of the closet " and

join w/ us and hopefully other lyme docs. Obviously if he'd pursued me and

knows the subject, he's open but I'd really like your input before I call

him tomorrow. He sounds like a REAL HUMAN BEING.

I contacted Rita Stanley about this and haven't heard back. I will send her

another urgent message tonight. I really believe since she's our points

person it would be better if she talked to him or how about you, Marleen.

I'm certainly willing but I've only had this diagnosis since the summer and

feel like a relative newby to the politics.

I really think that what's crucial at this point is that doctors and

patients come together. We can't get anywhere without the good docs speaking

up, but, obviously we want to do our best to protect their licenses.
