Marcia in western N>Y>I believe my mother had Sjogren's Syndrome and Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, just as I do. Also, they now think asthma is an autoimmune disease and that runs rampant in my family. See , I am still here, still breathing!!! Plus, medicine being so much better than our ancestors (even our parents), that who knows what people had. They died so young from such hard lives and communicable diseases, many probably didn't live long enough to get anything like AI disease. Or if they did (like RA), they thought it was just part of getting old. I certainly didn't know when I was young that those old ladies with the humped over backs had osteoporosis. I thought it was just part of getting old. Had no idea there was a name for it. Nina
