Guest guest
Cricket I am so glad that you are doing so well! What a blessing! And that is great about the support group for divorced women. I wish that I could just find a support group for women period. I am not divorced, yet I find it hard to meet women to just talk with and hang out with occasionally. It seems everyone's life is so busy that most people aren't interested in meeting people unless they have children the same age, work with them, or are the next door neighbor. I lost my job 2 years ago and need to get back out in the world more as I am doing better now. It is just hard to take that step. Please keep checking back with us as you have alot of hope to offer new ladies with your wonderful recovery. Guest guest
Hi Cricket, I am new to the forum and was hoping you could help me with some information. I have had my saline implants for 18 months and have a consultation with a Dr this Thursday about having them removed. Everyone on this sight has been so supportive and wonderful, but I was hoping you could answer some questions for me. I read somewhere on the sight that you had your implants removed after 18 months. Did you start having problems form the very beginning? If so what where your symptoms? How long after your explant did you start feeling better? Ans did you do any kind of detox, and if so what did you do? I would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks again,cricket5643000 <cricket5643000@...> wrote: I have been so busy lately, I do keep up on reading all the posts for the most part.Life has been really good. I would have to say other than still dealing with my thyroid I am 100% better. I have no other symptoms left. No brain fog, no joint pain, no night sweats, etc. I have been working out everyday and I just signed up for a kick boxing class. As some of you know I am divorced and I started a single womens group here in my area and we now have 28 members. Its for single women to get together with others so we can get out of the house. It has been wonderful. I have met so many neat women. So I have even been getting out at night about 3 times a week.I also have a big Interior Design job going. Good thing cause I can use the money. Its hard to believe that 18 months ago when I got my implants out and was so sick that my body has returned to normal. Lady's there is hope. Our bodies are truly amazing.I wish everyone the best, and I will try to stop in more offen.Love Cricket

Guest guest
Cricket, what an unusual name, is it a nickname? I have been scanning the posts and saw your's and read it with much interest. Can you tell me more about how your healing went? I of course have a different situation than you in many ways, but I would love to know how you got well so fast. I have read some rather dissappointing stories on this site, of women taking 4 years, and some even 11 years to get better. That is discouraging for me of course, I am in my mid forties and don't want to be sick until I am 55 if you know what I mean? Thyroid condition is not so bad compared to some of the issues I have to deal with. I have leaking silicon implants that I have had too long, lets say I am embarassed as to how long I have had them. I would like to be reasonable about my recovery though. I don't have any expectations of my plastic surgeon being able to heal me. I do feel that once he has done his work then I can get well through a good fitness regimine. I have been in contact with Rose from another explant site and she has been really amazing to me. She is like me, a gel victim and has gotten well with some gel still in her body. She tells me her healing has really revolved around aquatics classes that she teaches, and some other exercise, yoga, meditation, and eating a healthy diet. I am off sugar, so far I don't notice one thing from it but I will continue with my organic healthy diet. Fish, chicken and vegggies and fruit mostly. I have 2 children, one that I had before implants, she is fine. My son has ADD and ADHD and is doing better on his new medication. He was born with my implants in my body so I have tremendous guilt associated with this situation. Anyhow so sorry to ask so much of you, but please share with us all what you did to get well so quickly. I would love to get as many options as possible for after my procedure so that if I don't get well with the ideas I already have I can begin to look into other ones. thank you for your message of hope Annie In , " cricket5643000 " <cricket5643000@y...> wrote: > > I have been so busy lately, I do keep up on reading all the posts > for the most part. > > Life has been really good. Guest guest
Annie, I am short on time but wanted to get something off to you. I am 48. I had saline implants for 16 months. I started getting sick right away, but did not make the connection till I found this wonderful group. That was 15 1/2 months after being implanted. I had them removed two weeks after I found out that they were causing me to be so sick. In the data base section (click on the last entry) I wrote down everything that I took and did to get better. Take a look and if you have any questions just ask. Everyone is different, but this seemed to work for me. The one thing that I think helped the most is sweating. The skin is the biggest detox oragn. I remember early on when I worked out my sweat really really smelled. More on one size than the other. Now I no longer have a odor when I sweat. I am glad that you found this site, I don't know what would have happened to me if I didn't. sorry I have to go. Guest guest
Cricket thank you for answering my message. I appreciate all the advice I can get. My explant date is moved up, so it shouldn't be too long now. I am not going to one of the Dr's on the list, because I found one closer to my home that is willing to work with me on financing and he is very compassionate about getting my breasts fixed up. He says I will need a complete cleaning out. I had an MRI that shows intracapsular leakage but he thinks it is all contained in the capsule. That is the good news for me. I am around your age also, and hope that I can try some of the things you suggested. I don't think I can try any naturopaths in my area, they are very expensive. I do want to try sweating. I have heard that swimming is very good too, but no one on this group has given me any feedback on this. I am not sure if you sweat doing aquatics, do you know? It sounds as though your doing well. 100% better that is great. I don't have saline and Have had silicone for many many years, but still this gives me hope. I have also heard the skin is the largest organ so this whole exercise and sweating thing is sounding like a good idea to me. I realize I will be laid up for a few weeks, maybe even 2 months. I am having a mini face lift with my breast surgery. People think I am crazy for doing it, but to me, well it is my treat to myself since the Dr is giving me such a good deal and then I might feel better about being flat again, if my face looks nice. Right now I am extremely thin. What would you recomend I do for this problem as far as exercise? I just don't eat very much and it seems I never gain weight. I thought maybe I had overactive thyroid but it shows up as normal. I am down to 100 pounds. If I lose anymore I am really going to look sick, sicker than I do already. Thank you Cricket. Your advice is helpful. Now if someone can tell me if they know about sweating when swimming that would be information I would love to know. Guest guest
Hi Skye. Where in AZ are you? I live in Phoenix, but spend weekends in Flagstaff in the summer. We have lived here since 1963 and love it. If I am nearby we would be happy to run errands, etc. if you need it. Guest guest
Hi , How sad, your situation has got to be tough on all of you. Have you requested a BA in writing from the school for either of your kids? Might be a good place to start, then the results will force them to recognize his needs and make accomodations to their IEP's (ie; social skills ed., 'buddy' system, 1 on 1 time with educators trained to work with AS kids, etc.). From: athome_with_sarah <athome_with_sarah@...>Subject: ( ) it has been awhile Date: Tuesday, January 26, 2010, 8:02 AM I have two sons who are on the spectrum. I am sure is eithor high functioning or aspi.He hates school alwase being bullied. Two weks ago came home with a goose egg. He has no friends. The School refuses to see his for what he has.------------------------------------
