Subject: Feeling heat while in the AC?

I have a question for the group: does anyone here feel slowed down by hot weather even if you do not leave your comfortably air conditioned home? Also, is anyone bothered by wind, even if indoors? Thanks in advance for your answers.Sierra

I think in an air conditioned house the main effect of high outside temperatures is likely to be lower humidity outside and possibly lower humidity inside. I don't know why this would affect RA.

Winds will increase the dust and pollen or other allergens in the air and houses are not completely sealed so this can increase allergies. I don't see why it would affect RA. God bless.

I actually love the heat. However, I live in Oregon and don't see as much of it as I would like. My wrists and feet seem to get instant relief from just sitting out in the warm sun for 45 min to an hour. I like it in the 70's-80's range.

I do notice, however, when the temp drops from 80's to 60's or vice versa, I generally have flare-ups and/or more pain. This year has been one of those years where the weather has been so sporadic. So I seem to see somewhat of a trend when the weather goes up or down 20 degrees at a time.

I seem to do have less pain and fatigue here in the summer though.

I think the heat does exaggerate the fatigue but I think heat can do that do most anyone especially if living in high humidity and no air conditioning. I know I can't sleep if too hot or humid and I don't turn my air conditioner on.

The heat doesn't bother me as much as the humidity. It gets real humid

in Florida and we keep our a/c on for all of the summer....so I'm not

slowed down by it when inside.

Sierra,

I am sitting here in PA, in an AC house and as soon as I attempt to get up to do anything, I am drenched with sweat, which is something that I have never done before. At times, but nothing like this year. I don't understand, and thought it was me. ~Maggie <meshouse@...> wrote:

I love the heat and the sun. Of course, here in Texas, it gets REALLY hot so on those days, I try not to spend more than 1/2 hour at a time outside.
