Mine tests me for Hep A, B and C even though I have PBC (primary biliary cirrhosis). I hope your doc is testing you for PBC as well. Guest guest
On average Plaquenil is less effective than many other medicines but for some people it is more effective than the others. If you have troubles with the medicines that on average are more effective I think it makes a lot of sense to try Plaquenil, Sulfasalazine is another drug that usually is less effective but for some is more effective. I hope you get something to give you relief. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: a Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, August 18, 2005 12:21 PM Subject: Rheumy appt Hi all...Back from my appt. My dr is going to put me back on plaquinil to see how that works...even tho' he said it is for patiets with less severe arthritis than mine. But the Enbrel gave me mouth sores and the Humira gave me a very bad allergic reaction. The next stop for me would be Remicade but I am a little leary about that one.He is also putting me on Evozac for my Sjogrens Syndrome... I had some elevated liver enzymes in the past (now my alt is normal but ast is always little higher than normal). He had already checked me for Hep B and C which turned out fine but now ordered another Hep B and C antibody test. Not sure why though.??I have to call them next week for results .. always an anxious time. Hope all is well.Hugs...a in Ohio
