Guest guest
Hi a, When he had sores on the inside of his lips, 's rheumy told him to buy toothpaste that did NOT contain propylene glycol, which gives it the foaming action. I found three brands at the drugstores that did not contain that ingredient. The one he likes the best is Colgate Total in a 5.8 oz white plastic BOTTLE. Sorry but I don't recall the names of the other two brands. Those three brands of toothpaste were with the rest of the toothpaste but of course those three cost more then 'regular' toothpaste. It was not 's medication that was causing the sores... it was his toothpaste! He has lots of allergies. Hope this helps. Vera & -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Hi Vera.... I have been using Biotene dry mouth toothpaste for 3 years now. That is the only one I use and still get the sores. I thought it may have been my toothpaste also but it wasn't. Darn. Thanks for the info.. Was biotene one of the ones suggested?? That's what I use. Thanks..a -- In Rheumatoid Arthritis , " and Vera Penick " <vppp@c...> wrote: > Hi a, > When he had sores on the inside of his lips, 's rheumy told him to buy > toothpaste that did NOT contain propylene glycol, which gives it the > foaming action. Guest guest
My moms Rheumy (we see different ones) told my mom that she needed to increase her dose of folic acid (from 1 pill to 2 pills though I don't know the strength) if she was getting mouth sores. I don't have that problem myself but I just thought I'd share that info. > > Hi a, > > When he had sores on the inside of his lips, 's rheumy told > him to buy > > toothpaste that did NOT contain propylene glycol, which gives it > the > > foaming action.
