Guest guest
Hi Don, Eileen, and Ann, I wanted to let you know that I was on Enbrel and I had to move to the Humeria. Enbrel did nothing for me but I have a first cousin that is on Enbrel and it has done wonders for her. It is used to help stop the progression of arthritis also. Another words it will slow it down so that we are not totally crippled later on in life. I suppose that arthritis will and can move faster on some than on others. I have re-occurring UTI's and was off it for a while about two months and I really had just gotten started on it and had to be taken off but my Rheumy told me last Tuesday to stay on it this time unless I have a fever of 100 degrees. I have not had any fever that I know of. I thought that I had read where Enbrel or Humeria could also give you an infection. I asked him but he said no but he did tell me that the risks of taking it with the infection could make me have a more serious kidney infection and that it could kill me. Since I had almost died almost two months ago now, I still decided to go ahead and take it. I also take Methotrexate and Leucovor CA. I also have a very close Aunt that takes the one you have to have it given IV, and she has to take the Methotrexate with them. Our docs here in Texas tell us to. I hope that this might help you. Above I forgot the name of her medication just as I was fixing to write it so if I think of it I will send it along to you. Both she and another aunt take it. It has helped them both. txkat .. -------Original Message------- From: nantynannie Date: 07/31/05 15:54:20 Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Re: New-Don and Eileen Thanks Don and Eileen for your input. It is nice to know that I am not the only one thinking this way. I will discuss the things I have learned here with my doc and make a decision after that. It is great to hear everyone's advice and opinions, I appreciate it!Ann> > > ,> > > > Thank you for your reply, unfortunately right now I am seeing a > > worker's comp rheumy because my ankylosing spondy is related to > > worker's comp.
