I've had one too. I have asthma, and my allergist said I had to have one. The shot hurt

less than any flu shot that I have had. Too bad the shot wasn't around 38 years ago,

it might have prevented me from getting pneumonia 12 times before the age of 12.

I have COPD and like you, have had pneumonia multiple times throughout my life. I haven't had it since I started taking the vaccination, though.
