Sorry for the old post, but I've never thought about

not marrying before so that in the future, if I needed

it, I would be able to " qualify " for health care

services.

I've yet to read the responses to this post, but is

this something people with RA really seriously

consider?

Hi everyone- I have a wonderful man in my life. We

have been together since 11/2003. I am on disability

and I have to say that I cannot marry him

though we have talked about it several times. I told

him . His insurance wouldn't come close to covering

my meds or copays, and since his income becomes my

income, I cant afford to marry him. Now that medicare

part D is coming, and my prescription coverage wont be

paid by the state anymore, Does

anybody know if we are penalized like we would be if

we were on state aid?
