Guest guest
I have been experiencing the same thing, with the humidity, even though I stay in with the AC. Sat here crying last night for hours. I really freaked my poor husband out!It was the first time ever that I considered going to the emergency room for the pain. I took a Percoset, a "10 one" and a sedative and had to wait for it to kick in. I wish I had something stronger and more immediate at home because why should I have to suffer waiting for it to work? Now its 4 a.m. and I feel the pain again, I just took half a pill. I shouldn't even be writing this but it helps to get it out.To make matters worse, Brad and I are supposed to go to a wedding today and there is just no way! Guest guest
- I hope you get to feeling better soon - Interesting you are on Humira - so am I. They upped my shots to once a week as I was still experiencing a lot of wrist and feet pain, and my inflammation rate was very high. Right now, I'm doing a lot better, in fact, almost feel sort of like in remission, although I know I'm not normal by any means, but feel I can do some things I wasn't able to do a month ago. But I also realize I could have a bad flare-up any day - this disease can be so frustrating - because you really can't predict how you are going to feel on any given day - which makes planning outings, events, with other people, difficult. I felt for the one gal who said they would be missing a wedding today. I hate the fatigue as well as the pain - does everyone experience fatigue a lot? I seem to love to sleep, and sleep all the time lately. I'm not sure if it is because then I don't have to feel the pain and daily challenges, or if my body just needs it more than most. Guest guest
I'm going to start Humira soon, depending on my doctors visit on Tuesday. Have you all noticed a difference from when you first started using it? Has a lot of the pain gone away? My doctor says that MTX and prednisone aren't doing the job for me so he wants me to start Humira or Remicade. Right now Humira is my choice. Must be something in the air, I've had bad right hand and shoulder pain the last two days. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie http://www.4HockeyFans.com http://www.4FloridaHockey.com MSN: Maggies1429 AOL: Maggies85 sunshine wrote: > - I hope you get to feeling better soon - > > Interesting you are on Humira - so am I. Guest guest
Maggie, I definitely recommend Humira. It does take a few weeks to kick in though, but its been the best drug for me so far. My Rheummy went for the big guns right away, and I started on Enbrel. Humira just works better for me, but everyone is different. I am due to take my shot in 2 days, so that along with this horrendous humidity may have something to do with this flare. atoid_arthritis , Maggie <meshouse@e...> wrote: > I'm going to start Humira soon, depending on my doctors visit on > Tuesday. Guest guest
The humidity for some reason does make the pain so bad, mine was bad yesterday, today we are having rain so I am a bit better, if we get too much then the dampness starts it all over again. praying for you all to be better, Joy ----- Original Message ----- From: shelly smiegal Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Saturday, July 16, 2005 11:11 AM Subject: Re: Flare out of Nowhere I have been experiencing the same thing, with the humidity, even though I stay in with the AC. Guest guest
Just wanted comment on the fatigue. I am wiped out by 2 in the afternoon, most days. I can easily take a two hour nap given the chance. I am starting Humira next Friday... barring any more infections between now and then... Has anyone noticed a decrease in the fatigue while taking the Humira? I am really hoping for a miracle with this one since the Enbrel didn't help at all....Thanks for the input,Sam On Jul 16, 2005, at 10:54 AM, sunshine wrote: - I hope you get to feeling better soon - Interesting you are on Humira - so am I. Guest guest
Oh gee...... I feel bad for all of us in pain....alot of our friends/family that aren't experiencng this know what we are going through. Two weeks ago, I fell backwards off a plastic chair...I landed on my right elbow, which drove everything up into my shoulder. I have yet to see my doctor about this, but I may be visiting her soon...It hurts so bad on top of the every day RA issues.... :-( Kathy --- shelly smiegal <shelsmieg2000@...> wrote: From: shelly smiegal <shelsmieg2000@...> Date: Sat, 16 Jul 2005 08:11:33 -0700 (PDT) Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Re: Flare out of Nowhere I have been experiencing the same thing, with the humidity, even though I stay in with the AC.
