Guest guest
fyi, i found this info in web search on milk thistle and mepron, http://www.cpnhelp.org/?q=liverprotection fyi, i found this reference on burrascono's protocol on ilads site: http://www.ilads.org/burrascano_1102.htm under supplements required for Basic Daily Regimen: " CO-Q10 (ubiquinone) — required if not taking the prescription drug atovaquone (Mepron) " " Mepron is an analog of CoQ10. An analog of a nutrient has a structurally similar chemical composition that competes with the nutrient. Giving CoQ10 would decrease the effectiveness of mepron because the organism would get its CoQ10 from the supplement defeating the purpose of mepron. " " Atovaquone -- an analogue of ubiquinone used in the treatment of pneumocystis pneumonia. Mechanism of Action -- The exact mechanism is unknown. Atovaquone may inhibit the mitochondrial electron transport chain that would inhibit ATP synthesis (this is the most likely mechanism, given its similarity to ubiquinone) or it may decrease nucleic acid synthesis. " and, referring to one of the sites above: " And here is probably the most significant piece of info indicating that Mepron works by competing with Q10. In this respect if you take supplemental Q10, you are restoring electron transport in the microbe thereby rendering Mepron less effective.
