Guest guest
Hi Emma, I can sympathize with the tonsils being removed as an adult, I did that too, ouch. Sorry to hear how badly you are feeling, hope it starts to settle for you. As I write to others often, this is the time to review your lifestyle and see what positive changes you can make that will ultimately change your health. Even small changes can make large impacts if the change is needed. I'd be happy to discuss with you some of these, many cost nothing to implement, others have minor costs, but those costs are always worthwhile in overall well being. Guest guest
Hi Emma I'm , not much I can say except nice to see you hear but hate the reasons that bring us togeather so hope someone else may be able to help you there . emma_mizen <emma_mizen@...> wrote: Hi all on this quite nice morning!Thought I'd introduce myself! I'm err, Emma and live in the UK, after a diagnosis of Scarlet Fever, then having 'had' Stills Disease for 6 weeks I have a new diagnosis of post streptococcal reactive arthritis.I've been through the spiking fevers, etc, and am just left with the joint pain now which likes to affect different joints every day to keep me on my toes! You see, for years I've suffered from sore throats, tonsilitis and pharingitis, so I decided to have my tonsils out, and after being on the waiting list for a couple of years finally had it done in January. And as an adult it is as horrendous and painful as they say!So, when a couple of months later I get a sore throat I dont take much notice, it was probably nothing and I didnt want to take any more antibiotics! Guest guest
Welcome to the board but I'm sorry you have reason to be here. I just have RA with no complications. Well, I also have hypothyroidism but that is so easily controlled I tend to forget about it. A couple of years ago I got pericarditis and that is alos fluid around the heart. Mine was easily taken care of with 20 mg Prednisone for a week and the maximum allowable dose of Ibuprofen. I wish yours was as easy to take care of. For my RA I'm pretty well controlled with Methotrexate and Remicade. I hope your reactive arthritis goes away as can happen with that. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: emma_mizen Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2005 1:32 AM Subject: Hello everyone!!
