Guest guest
Hi everyone- Another FYI here. Arent I a pain. But since knowledge is power. Here I am with more information. I find that before I started taking a DMARD, namely MTX, my immune system was fighting my remicade altogether. I think that when your blood cells attack you, it attacks everything else that comes in too, viruses etc. Being on MTX, though, I find I am just wiped out completely. My immune system is compromised so it slows down and me with it. I take everything I can think of to give me energy. I take folic acid every day, but also take a mega multi vitamin twice a day. They sell it in bottles of 250 ct at Target. Now here are the strange but useful things I do that seem to always keep me healthy. I stay away from large crowds whenever possible and if I come across a sneezing or coughing person, I back off and sometimes just walk away. I always carry clini-pad wipes with me, and use them whenever I need them. I always seemed to get sick from a utensil or glass or cup so I try to use plastic whenever I can. I use straws always. I also try to get coffee or tea in a paper cup or styrofoam which helps. Now onto the last. I make a hot mimosa mixture out of hot water and Orange Juice. You can add pineapple or pomegranate juice. I add equal so it tastes yummy. I also drink apple juice every day. This anti oxidant mixture works well for me. Having RA dehydrates you anyway, and keeping myself well hydrated helps. I just got into doing this every day. I also tend to shop at night, after most people eat dinner. Most stores stay open late at X-mas, and you wont find many people out shopping that late. I love having the store all to myself. If anyone wants to know more about the multi vitamin, please let me know. I can write a list of the ingredients. It works really well and is very inexpensive. You are all amazing..........Deborah
