Guest guest
Hi all, Have you tried any medicine and/or supplement to improve the function of vestibular or inner ear? Does it work? What did you tried? How long have you tried to notice the improvement? Is there any side effect? I read the book " Smart but feeling dumb " by M.D. Harold N. Levinson. He mentioned that lots of autism/PDD/ADHD/ADD children have inner-ear (vestibular) dysfunction. He recommended some medicines in the book. We have the vestibular problem. Will really appreciate to know your experience and get your advices. Connie

Guest guest
Ginko Biloba may help a bit from my own experience. Guest guest
Hi. I have a serious case of vestibular-something caused by two accidents, and have been searching for answers. I have balance problems, hearing problems and tinnitus. These are aggravated by food allergies and anxiety. It's a vicious cycle. I also believe there may be an allergy/infection in the ear canal/sinuses/eustacian tube. A few things that help are especially manipulation by either a craniosacral therapist or an actual DO (Osteopathic doctor) who actually does manipulations.... I have recently come across a DO who does manipulate, and have gotten SO MUCH relief. I'm finding that it is very common to have neck/trapezius muscles, head bones out of proper alignment. This affects cranial nerves and everything they connect to. This can occur even from birthing to any fall or seemingly minor accident. It really messes with the senses as well as making you feel crazy or deficient in some way. I also came across an essential oil which helps somewhat. It is called vetiver or vetivert. It is wonderful. It smells quite similar to sandalwood. It helps with circulation and the immune system. It is also very calming and anti-anxiety. I usually put it on my last two toes - this is from reflexology. The 4th and 5th toe relate to the ears. It travels from there to the ears through reflex points or acupuncture meridians. I believe zinc and gingko biloba may help and possibly anti-fungals. Good luck. judy > > Hi all, > > > > Have you tried any medicine and/or supplement to improve the function of > vestibular or inner ear? Does it work? What did you tried? Guest guest
What exactly is the question? By vestibular/inner ear do you mean balance and vertigo type problems? My son used to be either always spinning non-stop and would get aggressive and violent if you tried to stop him, or would puke immediately if he was spun - there was no middle ground. Chelation and Therapeutic Listening took care of vestibular issues. He still isn't wild about spinning, but neither am I. But he doesn't HAVE to do it, nor does he vomit. > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > Have you tried any medicine and/or supplement to improve the function of > > vestibular or inner ear? Does it work? Guest guest
I concur with this as well, I forgot to mention in my post that we have done CST and reflexology for years (I do them), our family doctor is now a DO and has been for a few years, we have done chiropractic for years. I didn't even consider all that stuff because we do it for general well being as " maintenance " for all of us. It helped some with vestibular issues, but until we added chelation and did Therapeutic Listening then the other stuff really was far more effective. > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > Have you tried any medicine and/or supplement to improve the function of > > vestibular or inner ear? Guest guest
All of the antibiotics I have taken for lyme, both pharmaceutical and natural, have improved my vestibular function. 2 of my favorite are OLE and LDM-100. Guest guest
, I absolutely love and depend on CST. I also hope to learn it. I've been getting it regularly for four years, and it has done wonders for me as well as other family members!! I also have used chiropractic help for many years. I was stunned, though, to see what a difference the DO is making in my particular case. He physically does what CST does energetically. He sort of kneads my body like dough... shapes me into a pretzel, pushes and pulls things. It gave me so much relief around my ears, head, and tail. It is improving my balance greatly, lowering my anxiety level, and clears my head and ears quite a bit. I realized that part of my not wanting to drive was related to the disequilibrium, and the fact that when I turned my head while driving, it would cause kind of a motion sickness. Too much info.... I have a niece whose toddler kept falling and actually got his head caught between the bed and the wall somehow and twisted it seriously. At that point, he stopped talking and just made odd sounds and seemed quite damaged. She took him to a remarkable CSTherapist, who has him back in alignment, and he's so much happier now and talking again. Best to you, judy > > I concur with this as well, I forgot to mention in my post that we have done CST and reflexology for years (I do them), our family doctor is now a DO and has been for a few years, we have done chiropractic for years. > > I didn't even consider all that stuff because we do it for general well being as " maintenance " for all of us.
