Guest guest
Jeannette, Glad to see you back and feeling a little better. It's been a really gloomy day here for the last two days. Sure wish the sun would come out. Oh well, it's out somewhere . Tery
Guest guest
Hi Tery: Yes, it is gloomy and rainy here today too. I cannot believe the sun is not shining in Florida. You need that sun to grow all those oranges we need. Yes, it is wierd but my depression just sort of lifted. Maybe I am manic/depressive. I hear also that Prednisone can do this too. It is an emotional roller coaster sometimes and it seems I have little to no control when the depression hits. It is a chemical thing and no matter what I do, it lingers until it is ready to lift. I am feeling better physically though so that may be connected. When is your Remicade appt? Thursday? I am very excited for you as I only said now 10 times. Oh well, at least you know I care. Guest guest
Glad to hear that you are feeling better, Jeannette. Happy to hear that your throat problem was just your CPAP equipment and not a cold. I'm pulling for Tery, too. I so hope the Remicade works for her - and fast. She has endured much pain. Wish your infection would clear up. I never heard of such a thing going on for so long. I hoping that the upcoming surgery solves that problem permanently for you. Everything is OK over here, thank you. Guest guest
I hope you are all having a good day. Strange coincidences have been occuring in my research and communications on the subject of auto-immune diseases. I have two close friends who were bitten by ticks in Southern Africa and one developed scleroderma and the other fibromylagia (sp). They are both on an antibiotic protocol treatment which is also prescribed for some RAers. I wonder if we are all connected by a mycoplasma infection which makes some of us reactive arthritis sufferers. Just a thought. There is also trials underway for RA using goat's serum; aimspro, which is also being used on scleroderma patients. What do you think about the possible mycoplasma cause of RA and have any of you heard of the aimsporo approach? Please let me know your views Take care. Ken. Guest guest
I'm not really up on mycoplasma but there is quite a bit on it at Road Back Foundation http://www.roadback.org and you might want to check that site. I think RA is really a syndrome with many causes that have some similarities. For some people the cause may be mycoplasma. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ken Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Sunday, June 05, 2005 11:03 AM Subject: Hi All I hope you are all having a good day.Strange coincidences have been occuring in my research and communications on the subject of auto-immune diseases. First, try to instruct your child NOT to ask to play with other kids, as this is just an open invitation for other kids to say "no" whether or not they want to play with him. Model or better, role-play how to join into a group. For example, if he sees some kids building a castle, teach him to go hang around for a little bit and then say "Hey that's a great castle." And then, ease into the playing. Some kids have a very hard time with the social, it is hard. There is a nice book called, "Teaching your child the language of social success" There are actually a lot of books out lately for teaching social skills. Guest guest
, Yes, gorgeous day. Makes me feel guilty for sitting at the PC. The grass is getting too tall, I will have to rake the grass when I do cut, which makes me feel even less like going out. So I have decided to pull the shades and pretend that it's rainy....lol. I agree about Hillary. I told my dad who hates Hillary that I wouldn't vote for her EVER and prefer McCain and hope he runs again. I have always voted Democrat. Unfortunately I have always voted AGAINST the person I dislike rather than voted FOR anyone per se. It would be nice to one day have someone to vote FOR. I could easily vote for McCain. Did you see the questionnaires that Unlocking Autism sent to the candidates Bush and Kerry. Bush agreed that Thimerasol should be removed from all childhood vaccines. It blows my mind that there are states who have banned Mercury and that Bush and Co. want to put it back in! Is there any data to show that children have been harmed by removing Thimerasol?? It is complete insanity. They must know that to earn parents trust they must show that they are doing their jobs (Protecting Americans /FDA/CDC/NIH) Rather than try to regain trust in vaccines, they want to make laws to ram vaccination down our throats. I think they fear a decline in the numbers of autism related disorders and with the Omnibus Proceeding still in full swing, they don't want to do anything to give the impression that they are scared shitle$$ that they screwed up BIG! ly, I am not a chicken-little type. But if they were to ever make the Flu vaccine mandatory, which looks to be inevitable, I will refuse to do it. It feels like all this bird-flu pandemic, local and state preparedness in the event of an outbreak, quarantine, blah, blah, blah. I'll be heading for some place with more freedom, I've heard that democracy is spreading throughout the Middle East, maybe that would be the place to go? **sigh** AND there's no grass to cut in Afghanistan, it's looks to be all dirt and rocks. ----- Original Message ----- From: Cochran Sent: 4/27/2006 9:48:58 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Hi all Yeah, can't tell you how long we sweated that, despite everyone's assurance that there would not be a problem, convinced they would make a test case out of us. Guest guest
Yes! Roxanna/ your membership is good here. Everyone is welcome. This group is my lifeline. I can use all the friends I can rope in! If you are one who has found that you have nothing in common with the playground mommies, you're in the right place. If you become anxious about your child not being invited to Birthday Parties, then horrified when they are invited because you KNOW that he/she will want to blow out the candles and open the presents, you're in the right place. If you have found that having a child who melts down in the store checkout aisle is to your advantage because the store manager will open a line especially for you, to get you out as quickly as possible, this is your club! ----- Original Message ----- From: Sent: 4/27/2006 10:15:04 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Hi all In a message dated 4/27/2006 9:41:51 AM Eastern Standard Time, rmaher1969@... writes: LOL, Chris! As for a social group. there are a few local to me (Trumbull County). Let me know where you are located? ----- Original Message ----- From: Wulfeck Sent: 4/26/2006 8:19:27 AM Subject: RE: [ ] Hi all , I'm behind on my emails so I'm curious if you got any responses on your email? Anyway - maybe you could get together with a few of us and we can work together with our kids and set up playdates or something. I'm still feeling new to Ohio (been here a year) and would be happy to make new friends. Not sure where you are located but you can send me an email off the group if you like: rwulfe@... I have two kids - my son is 6 (hyperlexia/autism) and daughter is 4 (speech). Becky ----- Original Message ----- From: Biehl Sent: 4/24/2006 9:21:42 AM Subject: [ ] Hi all Hi everyone, I need some help. My almost 6 year son asked my husband the other night,"Why don't have I any friends? No one will play with me." Our Hearts were nearly ripped out. My husband asked him does he ask the kids to play with him and he said he does, but they don't want to play. He was very sad. My husband said that he will just have to keep trying to talk to the kids. I know why the kids may shy away but I don't know how to help him with this one. The school is telling me that he is playing with the other kids but when I went there he played along side them but did not interact other than to tell them about the rules. Anyone with suggestions thank you. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
You....are just too funny. Btw, no connection, but I just saw a wild turkey in my backyard! Guest guest
Roxanne - can we make up cute nick names for you, now? Xanner, Rexannie, and Xanney. (Xaney?). Personally, I always was partial to Becca - exotic and unique yet feminine. Not like plain old which is kind of androgenous. Guest guest
This works best when the store is very busy and crowded, like during the holidays. I had it happen only once to be honest. But, I like to look at the glass half full. Some days -half full of scotch! ----- Original Message ----- From: The Marotta Family Sent: 4/27/2006 11:49:41 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Hi all - What store was that?? Guest guest
Oh, I love the names where you can't tell on paper whether the person is male or female, great to put on resumes, no preconceived notions about what you could or should do. , I'll be, 2 ----- Original Message ----- From: The Marotta Family Sent: Thursday, April 27, 2006 11:50 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Hi all Roxanne - can we make up cute nick names for you, now?
