Guest guest
Sorry about that, she is on Vit E, C, magnesium, zinc, Vit B12 (15mg sublingually), DHA, omega -3's. I also give her glycine, glutamine, and NAC about 3 times per week. I should have been more specific. She is also having an epsom salt bath once per week. I thought the suppositories were better for those kids with stomach/gut issues. She still not eat more than about 8 very bland foods. The only protein she eats are hot dogs, so I get the organic, nitrate free, hormone free ones from Whole Foods. For this reason, getting her to do this 6 times per day, even through the night would be next to impossible. She is very good at spitting out medicine or any food that tastes even slightly off. Thank you so much for your help. I just don't want to do anything wrong - that is why I have been doing all the other things for months to get her as strong as possible before doing this. Do not use suppositories. There is no way to get an accurate dose. It also looks like you don't have the proper supplements in place. The critical 4 are Vit E, C, magnesium, and zinc. E is to be taken once a day, the others 3-4 times a day. The dosages is based on weight. You can start DMSA and ALA together or separate. Most people recommend separate just so you can tell the affect of each one. These are also dosed by weight. She will now be 4 years old next month. For the past 8 months, she has been on a GF CF SF diet, digestive enzymes, probiotics, multi-vitamins on which she improved significantly i.e. her chronic diarhhea stopped. In March, I started her on Lugol's iodine with even greater success. Following this, she started playing with other kids at lunch for the first time since starting school in September. She also showed a tremendous increase in her ability to learn her letters. I am now ready to start the DMSA and ALA. She is 30 pounds and I just want to confirm dosages. I am reading conflicting things. Some say use DMSA only first, others DMSA and ALA together on the every 4 hour schedule. Exactly how much of each is appropriate for her weight? Does it make a difference whether I use sustained release ALA made > by AOR or non-sustained release? I am planning to use DMSA in suppository form. > > My 10 year old is 80 lbs. and will be taking the oral form of DMSA. What is the appropriate dosing for her? Would you hold off on the ALA or start it together. She has thyroid and adrenal issues which are currently somewhat controlled with thyroid and adrenal medications. > > > Thank you. > > Surinder > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Surinder  I was interested to read what you wrote about the Lugol's Iodine. Can I ask you what made you supplement your daughter with this? Did you do a thyroid panel or did your child have low body temperature?   Thank you --- Στις Δευτ., 14/06/10, ο/η Surinder Basra <skb8940@...> ÎγÏαψε: Από: Surinder Basra <skb8940@...> ΘÎμα: Re: [ ] Re: my daughters Î Ïος: ΗμεÏομηνία: ΔευτÎÏα, 14 ΙοÏνιος 2010, 3:14  Sorry about that, she is on Vit E, C, magnesium, zinc, Vit B12 (15mg sublingually), DHA, omega -3's.
