these?

Does it look like this?

When I first posted this picture several years ago, most people said it looked

like yeast. But it was actually herpes virus leaving the body, right after I

started that child on lysine.

One of the symptoms my kids had, of herpes leaving the body, was fever and flu.

So, if it looks like that picture, my guess is the rash is either herpes virus,

or yeast overgrowth.

That's what it looks like. He's been on lysine for about6 months. I've started

rotating the antifungals recently after being on just nystatin for a year.

Currently rotating GSE, OOO, Pau D'Arco, Nystatin while keeping OLE steady for

strep. What did you use for itch relief? I put a little cortizone on and it

seems to help.

For my girls it was Staph. Bactroban ointment took care of it in 2 days and they

had this rash for 2 years.

It may be that portion of the herpes virus being eliminated.

My kids only had that rash for 2-3 days, so I didn't need to do too much. The

cortisone cream sounds like it should help if it is just a short term thing. I

would not want to use cortisone long-term tho.

Cortisone will thin the skin, which is why I would not use it long-term.
