We just finished a round with my son. He made urine in the potty after school -

the whole bowl was normal, but there was one or two drops of pinkish blood in

his urine. He just went again (5:30 PM) - and the same thing - normal with a

couple of drops of pinkish blood in the urine. What does this mean? I am very

concerned. My dh wants to run to the hospital. I do not want to. What can

this signify? Some kind of kidney problem? Please advise asap - what this can

be and what we should do. His last dose was this morning at 8:00 am.

Thanks. Irene

I don't know Irene, but I'll say a prayer that you get it figured out and it's

nothing serious. Hugs...

DH IS RIGHT. Don't mess with kidneys, bladder infection or otherwise.

I presume this is well resolved by now.

If not, hospital and emergency room are not necessary, just try your doctor.

If it isn't blood, check for porphyrins.

It turned out to be a bad UTI. We tried a homeopathic remedy but it did not

work - so we had to do an antibiotic. We went to the ped, just as you said and

she did a urine culture. It just scared us that it came at the end of the

round.
