Guest guest
If it is helping your kids, that is awesome! > > > > > > > > > > > > well, the info in this thread got me curious and i started googling. what i read was convincing enough that i bought some raw goat's milk today for my three kids who have been SCD since march 10, 2009 (well over 1 year). they have been " drinking " pasteurized goat's milk that i had fermented into yogurt for over 24 hours. but i am interested to see how they do on the raw goat's milk. > > > > > > > > > > > > they did relatively well on pasteurized goat's milki before SCD. > > > > > > > > > > > > jessica > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I also think we basically agree. The book is just a really good historical lesson and a massive critique of how we are educated to eat 'healthy'. I've been impressed so far. At first I was ready to cut out all meat/dairy, but moderation is more my style. The bottom line for you is that what you are doing is healing your kids. I totally get that... and would hate to have people telling me what I am doing can't be right when I see it with my own eyes. It goes to show you that our situations are too individual to critique from a distance. BTW... I would love to try raw milk. My MD husband won't agree. I'm a supporter of WI's efforts to pass a raw milk Bill and I hope it happens. If we are going to drink animal milk, it should be unpasteurized. I'm sad to the ultrapasteurization. If you need milk to last 2 months than just buy a smaller container! Take care, Pam > > > > > > > > > > > > > > well, the info in this thread got me curious and i started googling. what i read was convincing enough that i bought some raw goat's milk today for my three kids who have been SCD since march 10, 2009 (well over 1 year). they have been " drinking " pasteurized goat's milk that i had fermented into yogurt for over 24 hours. but i am interested to see how they do on the raw goat's milk. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > they did relatively well on pasteurized goat's milki before SCD. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > jessica > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Yup. I agree you can't make a fair comparison if you were using pasteurized dairy products. Crystal is starting to wear me down! <3 ~hugs~ Pam > > > > > > well, the info in this thread got me curious and i started googling. > what i read was convincing enough that i bought some raw goat's milk today > for my three kids who have been SCD since march 10, 2009 (well over 1 year). > they have been " drinking " pasteurized goat's milk that i had fermented into > yogurt for over 24 hours. but i am interested to see how they do on the raw > goat's milk. > > > > > > they did relatively well on pasteurized goat's milki before SCD. > > > > > > jessica > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I am glad your son had success with the milk, but to me it is not surprising that one of the first things to go for our immune compromised kids is the tolerance of another animal's milk. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > well, the info in this thread got me curious and i started googling. what i read was convincing enough that i bought some raw goat's milk today for my three kids who have been SCD since march 10, 2009 (well over 1 year). they have been " drinking " pasteurized goat's milk that i had fermented into yogurt for over 24 hours. but i am interested to see how they do on the raw goat's milk. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > they did relatively well on pasteurized goat's milki before SCD. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > jessica > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
