Guest guest
Hi everyone- I have been in and out of RDs offices over the past decade. Over the years, I have had no less that 17 RD's. That is specifically because of visit waits, or a negative attitude. I have actually had doctors tell me they couldnt do anything else for me. I always call the doctors office prior to a visit. Why? To see if they are running late. I call to them I am running late. They never take me if I am more than 15 minutes late. If try whenever possible to see only one doctor a day. I have a great team but its not the waiting room I find troublesome but rather the wait in the exam room before I see the RD or PCP. I wait on the slab like table and wait in that little white room and read the "highlight" magazine for kids. I called one time to my RD's office to ask if they were running on time. I was told he was running an hour late. So I get there an hour late, and I was told I missed my appointment!!!. I was non plussed. Apparently the receptionist was new and thought I was seeing another doctor in the office that was running late. My RD was not running late. I am lucky and only have to see my RD once every 3 months now. Always call ahead and make sure you dont have to wait, and if so, ask if you can come 30 minutes to an hour or however long the doctor is behind. It saves alot of trouble and aggravation. Sitting in any one place for too long is an agony, and we should avoid that at all costs. Yours, Deborah
